                                 Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo has denied calling his colleague, one of Barcelona FC’s and world top scorers Lionel Messi, offensive names. In the new book titled “MESSI”, Ronaldo is accused of often referring to Messi in the insulting language in the Los Blancos dressing room. Despite the fact that the two best footballers of the modern times often come hand in hand in the world ratings, Ronaldo rejected the insults allegations saying he would never treat a fellow professional with such disrespect. It was also provided in the book that CR7 jokingly compared the FCB striker with a dog or puppet kept in one of Ronaldo’s designer bags. The 29-year-old was outraged by the allegations saying: “This is absolutely false and I have assured my lawyer takes action to sue those responsible.  have the utmost respect for all my professional colleagues, and Messi is obviously no exception.” Source: Goal.com

                                  The 36-year-old football legend reportedly dropped a hint that he will hang up his boot at the end of this current campaign at Stamford Bridge. He recently said in an interview with Chelsea TV; “This year the key for me is to enjoy my football and to be with my team-mates and to win trophies.                                    According to reports, about 75 Boko Haram men were killed this week by local hunters in Maiha town, which is about 25km from Mubi town in Adamawa State. The hunters also recaptured their town which was captured by the insurgents this past Monday. The local hunters, armed with rifles, machetes, bows & arrows, ambushed the insurgents as they came to fight with the Nigerian military in their town and killed as many of them as they could. Following the attack, many residents of Maiha fled to Yola over fears of reprisal attacks from Boko Haram, who are known to re-group and take revenge when their members are slaughtered.But the hunters and other vigilante groups say they are no longer running, that they have decided to stay and fight to keep their land and family safe. Thousands of youths have since signed up to confront Boko Haram insurgents in the state.

                                 14 passengers were burnt to death on Wednesday when a fully loaded tanker collided with a truck conveying passengers and cattle along Ogbomoso-Jebba Road. PUNCH Metro gathered that 14 other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries. The truck was said to be coming from a state in the North-East while the tanker was heading towards the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.The Kwara State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs. Mary Wakawa, confirmed accident. She said, “One of the heavy duty vehicles veered off its lane and collided with the other one.     “Both vehicles went up in flames. Thirteen died on the spot, while one died in the hospital. We rushed 14 injured passengers with severe burns to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.
