                                 New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has warned fans not to expect instant success, saying it will take three months for his players to get used to his style and methods, Reuters reports. The Dutchman, brought in following the sacking of David Moyes less than 10 months after taking the job at Old Trafford, is introducing a new 3-4-1-2 formation and increasing the technical demands on his players. United, who finished outside the European places in seventh last season, play Swansea City, Sunderland and Burnley in their first three Premier League matches but despite a relatively comfortable start, Van Gaal warned against immediate success.

                                           The board of the Nigeria Football Federation will convene an emergency meeting devoted to finalising contract deal with Stephen Keshi as Nigeria coach. The decision follows the meeting of the Federation’s Technical Committee members and later the board on Wednesday in Abuja. A member of the committee, Mr. Paul Bassey, however told The PUNCH that nothing had been said on the pay for the coach as other issues had to be settled first.                 He said, “It is not true that we have agreed to pay him N7m. That aspect has not been discussed.” But following the report of the committee appointed to open channels of communication with Keshi on the probability of contract renewal for the Super Eagles job, the NFF Executive Committee then approved that the Acting President Chief Mike Umeh should convene a meeting of the NFF Emergency Committee to approve/finalise details on Keshi. After only six weeks of performances at the Palace Theater, the Tupac Shakur musical “Holler If Ya Hear Me” will be closing down production on Sunday.                      According to eyewitnesses, the man pictured above identified as Rasaki Adebayo was on Wednesday July 9th caught inside the Awo Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife in Osun state, trying to set up explosives. He was caught with what looked like petrol mixed with chemical. The students said he was trying to blow up a block in the hall. The man was immediately arrested and is still  in police custody

                              In a new video made available to AFP, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the bomb attacks on June 25th in Abuja and Lagos state that killed over 21 people.               AFP also said that Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau voiced its support for the extremist Sunni Islamic State (ISIS) militant group, which has taken over most parts of Iraq and Syria. “ Harry Potter” star Dave Legenowas found dead after hiking in a remote part of California’s Death Valley, according to police reports. He was 50. The U.K.’s Telegraphreported on Friday (July 11) that the Inyo County Sheriff’s office had confirmed Legeno was discovered early Sunday morning by a pair of hikers. The sheriff’s department dispatched a helicopter to locate and recover the body of the British actor, who was best known for playing werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the blockbuster wizard series. “It appears that Legeno died of heat-related issues, but the Inyo County Coroner will determine the final cause of death,” a spokesman for the sheriff’s department said. Authorities went on to confirm that there were no signs of foul play.
