Jay Electronica Brought Out Jay Z At TheBrooklyn Hip Hop Festival

When the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival gave Jay Electronicaan hour long set, fans were thinking one thing: who will he bring out? And the New Orelans rapper delivered, bringing out Mac Millerearly in his set for “Suplexes Inside of Complexes and Duplexes.” Then, he upped the ante by bringing out J.Coleand Talib Kwelifor Reflection Eternal’s collaborative song “Just Begun” off 2010′sRevolutions per Minute.
But, what everyone was really counting on was a Jay Zappearance. The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival was celebrating its 10th anniversary, and there’s no one who represents those two things better than Jay Electronica’s Roc Nation boss Jay Z. Since HOV was already in town for his “On The Run” tour with Beyonce later that night, he managed to stop by Jay Elect’s set and perform a few classic hits. When Jay Z hit the stage, they kicked off with “Young, Gifted, & Black,” and transitioned into “We Made It (Freestyle),” and followed that up with and “Shiny Suit Theory” and “Public Service Announcement.” Before he left, Jay Z shouted out Brooklyn saying “Peace and love Brooklyn New York City! It feels good to be home!” and gave Jay Electronica his Five-Percent Nation chain.
